Denmark in Nepal


Denmark does not have en Embassy in Nepal. The responsibility of Danish development cooperation with Nepal until end of 2018 is undertaken by the temporary DANIDA Programme Support Unit. Matters related to Danish development activities can be forwarded to info@danida-nepal.com. The overall responsibility for bilateral relations between Denmark and Nepal is handled by the Danish Embassy in India, New Delhi. Danish Citizen Service – Acute Assistance

Danes who acutely needs assistance in Nepal can either contact the Consulate in Kathmandu through contact information above or the 24/7 Emergency Centre at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen. Call +45 3392 1112 or email bbb@um.dk.

Danish citizen service – Passports

All passport requests are handled by the Embassy in India. Application guide and the required forms can be found on www.indien.um.dk

Visa to Denmark
Nationals from Nepal and other nationals residing in Nepal who needs a visa for Denmark must contact the Visa Application Centre in Patan operated by VFS Global. Issuance will take place in New Delhi, India, however, handing in and collecting applications will take place in Kathmandu. Interviews will also take place in Kathmandu.
