There are several issues, which you should be aware of before applying for a Schengen visa.
Airport transit visa
As a general rule, Nepali nationals must obtain a visa before travelling in transit through a Danish airport regardless of whether changing of aircraft is required or not.
Nepali nationals holding a residence permit in an EU, EEA country, USA or Canada are however exempt from airport transit visas, if they hold a re-entry permit to the country of residence valid for at least 3 months after expiry of the airport transit.
Holders of a Schengen visa are still subject to immigration control and are not guaranteed entry into any of the Schengen countries, even though they may hold a valid visa for these countries.
A normal Schengen visa is not valid for the Faroe Islands and Greenland. If you are travelling to these destinations, you will need to have a Schengen visa issued by a Danish mission with the wording in the comments section on the visa: "Valid for the Faroe Islands" or "Valid for Greenland".
The following applies to each applicant
- You must apply through VFS Global.
- Cover note to the Danish Embassy stating a reason to travel by the applicant.
- You must be staying legally in Nepal at the time of application.
- Written parental consent is required for minors.
- All documents must not be older than 1 month.
If you already hold a valid Schengen visa (if you have not used up all entries or days on the visa) and you wish to apply for a new visa, you must first have the valid visa cancelled by the issuing country's embassy unless the new visa dates will not overlap the existing visa.
