EU presidency

The Embassy of Denmark is responsible for the Local EU Council Presidency in Nepal from 1 July to 31 December 2011 on behalf of Poland.

As responsible for the Local EU Council Presidency in Nepal, Denmark meets regularly with Nepali politicians and stakeholders together with the EU-member countries to engage in constructive dialogue on relevant peace- and development related issues. Further, press statements on behalf of the EU-group are issued in both Nepali and international media on relevant issues.

Denmark continues to assume the local EU presidency in Nepal from 1 January – 1 July 2012 in Nepal, as Denmark chairs the Council of the European Union in the first semester of 2012. Read more on www.eu2012.dk
